Keenan Davis Scouting Report - nepatriotsdraft.com

The guy who wrote that, James Christensen, has a pretty good handle on scouting. I agree with him that Davis may have his best football in front of him. Davis has some pretty impressive physical tools and has yet to really play up potential. While he definitely isn't going to be an early rounder, he definitely will be a guy who warrants later round consideration. He's got plenty to prove yet and you'd like to see more consistency but teams like players who have untapped/unfulfilled potential, especially in the late rounds or as a FA. Going into this season I had a draft-able grade on Davis and I don't see anything that has dissuaded me

Anybody that thinks Keenan hasn't had a good year hasn't been paying attention. He has struggled on some of the fades and back shoulder throws getting on the same page with JVB but it is hard to tell whos fault that is. For the poster saying he has alligator arms across the middle I completely disagree. You are probably saying that because the announcer said it on the quick slant JVB threw early in the game on third and short. What the announcer didn't comment on was the blatant pass interference on that play that didn't allow him to get his hands up. Simple fact is we don't throw many slants because JVB has been very bad at getting accurate balls to WR or TE across the middle. We throw the majority of our passes outside the hash which has killed us this year because defenses have picked up on it (see INT in third Q). I don't think Keenan will be a high round NFL talent but he has a good shot at making an NFL roster which again speaks to incompetence of our head coach, OC and QB in the passing game. For the record I think KMM has been pretty good as well.

Keenan Davis is on par with several of the good receivers who have come out of college in the past 5 years - Dez Bryant, Michael Crabtree, DJK, AJ Green, etc., it's just that Greg Davis is a moron who doesn't know how to get the ball to Keenan.
