Was watching the news tonight and they had a spot on Iowa and how highly they are ranked and they asked Karl Klug what their goals were and they said he simply said " Win the Big Ten and bring home the national championship"

I know thats everyones goal but it gave me goosebumps.

Klug has added a ton of weight (the first year he has finally been able to do it)... hopefully he can stay as agile as he has been in the past.

That would be "Epic"!

Good goals but to do that we need to win each game......let's not forget UNI....My goal is to put a sound beating on EIU and get the 2nd team lots of reps.

Looking at the recent workout videos on Gohawks.com, he has only gained muscle. Klug has very little fat for a D-line.

I think Ballard has gained some weight as well. I think I saw that he was over 300 now.

Reilly Reiff is another guy that has put on mass, he is also a very lean 300 lb guy.

I think the D-line this year will be hands down one of the best, if not the best in school history... and probably the best in the nation this year.

By mid-season, a lot of media will be talking about not only our D but Klug. He is right where all of our greats were at this point in their careers.

A few years back I thought this same exact thing about Kenny Iweb, Babineax, Colin Cole, and Tyler Luebke. Ever since then our D-Line hasn't slowed down. Luebke turned into King, King turned into Klug. It's unbeleivable the way our Dline never has a drop.

Agree, but he is adding fat, not just muscle. The coaches want him to add fat. He was at about 285 last month. They want him heavier (and not just muscle).

The NFL draft list I saw had Klug listed as a fairly high DE prospect.
I'm not sure he needs to add much more weight. 285 is good size for a DE with his quickness and body fat %.
If he comes into the season at 285, that is almost 20 lbs heavier than the start of last season. Thats good enough for me.
