So good to see them go out again. NCAA tried their hardest to give them a final 4 but even giving them home court wasn't enough.
 


so we have to west coast teams Oregon/Gonzaga, and we're looking at maybe two SEC teams in the Final 4 or North Carolina in the Final Four, AGAIN, Ughhh!
 


I got duped. I thought this Kansas team was different. I should have known they would lay an egg at some point. As soon as Josh Jackson got those 2 early fouls I should have realized it was over.
 


I fully expect Kentucky to beat UNC. UNC's guard play isn't very good outside of Berry. They'll have a really hard time with Monk/Fox.
 


still shaking my head at the home court they got (spare me the nuances, putting them in KC is essentially a home court.)
 






They panicked. Down 14 or so with 15 minutes left, they played liked there was 3 minutes left.

Exactly. You kept waiting for Kansas to make a run and they never did. Oregon was great on D, but they were struggling for long periods of time on the offensive end. Kansas had many chances to change momentum and they crap the bed. I can't believe I was a sucker to think this was a different Kansas team.
 




Kansas under Self as a One has not made Final Four? Is that true?

They cut it to 66-60 at one point and had a chance to rebound a missed shot from Ore that bounced off two guys' hands and back to the Ducks, who then scored. And that was all she wrote.

Those don't appear to be very good numbers for a blue blood program.

7 elite eights, a final 4 and a national championship plus like 57 regular season conference championships in a row. Still some meat left on the bone there but I wouldn't classify them as numbers that don't appear to be good, even for a blue blood program.

I'd say every time you're a 1 seed and miss the final four you fell short of expectations. I don't expect it to happen every time, but it should happen >50% of the time.

Also, I've said this about a hundred times now, but if you've won 13 conference championships in a row, you're in a really shitty conference.

I don't know if I would go that far. If you get bounced in the sweet 16, I'd say that is disappointing. At the same time that is probably by a 4/5 seed beating you at least. Winning in the elite 8 even for #1 seeds isn't an automatic by any means.
