This is pretty damn cool for a kid that walked on to rise to this level of prominence. Hopefully, he is getting some money flowing his way and will be able to stay at Iowa, contribute as a receiver more, and have a great final year of school. Kids like this get drafted as we have seen.

Great point. Honestly I'm really going to miss these stories of successful walk on's going forward. I hate to see the NCAA do away with them.

The Rudy stories are great. Technically, I don't think that walkons are banned. You just can't have more than 105 guys on your team. But, I don't think a team has to use all 105 schollies. Its a limit, not a minimum. From what I read, some teams are not planning on using them all, so you might still have 85 guys on schollie and 20 not. We shall see.

Haven't seen anything official from kaden so i assume he still deciding on whether or not he's gonna play in college for another year? I'm sure lester would love for him to stay and i imagine he'd expand his offensive role in year 2 of implementing his offense.

He announced he is coming back. That said, Charlie Jones left after Springball. That said, that said, Kaden seems like a different kid and I think Lester has an intention to get him some touches on offense.

What i had heard was that he was 95% sure he was coming back. I mean that nearly for sure but not official. Maybe i missed seeing where he said he was officially coming back.

Lester has said wetjen has had problems running routes, which has kept him out of the WR rotation. Recently the light bulb may have finally clicked on for the kid, which why we finally saw him playing some offensive plays in the bowl game. If he does not get hurt, and if sticks around at Iowa,
he may have a breakout season finally on offense.

Honestly the Charlie Jones story where a return guy becomes a huge weapon on offense is pretty rare. Honestly, if Wetjen was smart, he would not seek out offensive opportunities and would focus just on the return game. If he is to be drafted and stick at the next level, it will be on special teams only.
