Justin Fields - OSU

I just read where this quarterback transfer from Georgia retained an attorney and either sued the NCAA or threatened to be able to play next year at OSU without sitting out a year and they granted it!!! Of course it didnt say anything about what his grounds were, but I know there wasnt a coaching change or scandal or anything that would warrant it.

This is bad, and I mean really bad. We just opened the flood gates to free agency in college football, and so the cheaters and big money schools will keep getting richer. Sucks big time.

Yahoo Sports' Pat Forde reported that Fields' waiver request focused on Fields being the target of a racial slur from a member of the Bulldogs baseball team during a football game in September.

First baseman Adam Sasser was later dismissed from the baseball team for making the remarks. Sasser tweeted in October that he and Fields were on "good terms" after having a conversation following the incident.

Fields played baseball in high school, and Forde reported he was considered a potential college player but now feels "uncomfortable" about joining Georgia's team.

GMAFB So now all a transfer has to do is claim he was a victim of a racial slur and he doesn't have to sit out a year?

Didn't Pedo St sue or threaten to sue the NCAA? I was saying this is what Ott should have done and people said I was crazy.

"My sense of this thing, if you get the right lawyer you might have a pretty good chance of becoming immediately eligible."........... K. Ferentz - 2/6 press conference.

Sort of the same ol', same ol'. Blue blood xfers have almost always gotten that elusive "exemption", while the kid going from State U to Institutional U has to follow "the rules".

You know certain schools will have a designated "cherry-picker" on staff now that "transfer portal" has become synonymous with "free agsncy" for the chosen-one schools.

It's what will make it easy for an FSU to dump a starting QB in 2019, versus 2012/2013 where "let the system run its course" was code for "discredit the victim".

The old race card. Funny thing is his sister attends Georgia so it’s ok for her to be there but so bad he has to get a waiver and play immediately? Seems legit.
