No, our performance probably didn't matter one way or another. Our ability to develop linemen and his friendship with Coker probably means more that the bowl game. I still think it will be hard to beat Alabama.

Disagree. If Iowa played like they did at Minny it would certainly have had a negative effect. The bowl win may not have made a significant positive effect on anyones decision but the loss sure would have.
