Just when you thought it couldn't get worse for Michigan

What was the last 'news' story that sportales had on this website......hmmm.....wasn't it that Tressel was stepping down.......yes, that was it. Sportales is just that - sport tales. i believe this story when i see it somewhere else.

B.S. article. Les Miles hasn't turned down Michigan. They're in intense negotiations right now. He could still end up staying at LSU, but remains Dave Brandon's #1 candidate.

And nobody on any of the Michigan sites has heard about a Robinson surgery, let alone missing the season.

I used to feel this way too. Ohio State needs someone to compete with. But then I think, why not Iowa, or Nebraska, or MSU. Nebraska has tradition, but others can build tradition and be a legit contender every year. The Michigan/OSU rivalry is the biggest in the Big 10 now, but whose to say Nebraska/Iowa couldn't take it's place? In today's world, things change, college football has changed, and if Michigan is bad, that's good for Iowa. With all that said, this article is probably bogus.

I've never bought this crap before. College football is always good, and honestly, it's only better when Iowa is good...not some other school...especially a school we play every year.
 
I REALLY hope Michigan hires Les Miles. I think he'd be Rich Rod part 2. He is not that good of a coach.
After that happens, I want LSU to hire Bo Pelini, and then sit back and watch the show. :)

He's not an elite coach. He's at a program where he inherited a very full cupboard from Nick Saban. They've taken a step back (not a huge one, but a step back nonetheless) now that it's Miles' players. He's not THAT good.

I didn't say awful. But he's not done a lot with his own players, and A LOT with Nick Saban's players. Which I also mentioned in my previous post. For what seems like the 10th time I've told you this: LEARN TO READ, JACKA**.

I think the greater point there is that there is more interest. Teams like Michigan and Notre Dame don't have to be good for the sport to be good, but college football in general is more interesting (to me at least) when Michigan is good. I don't really have an opinion on the Irish.

Oh I forgot the NC too. Four times in top ten. One number 17, and one time finished out of top 25.

Just terrible.

Again, his best years thus far have been with Saban's players, not his own. Is this really a difficult concept for you to grasp?

His teams at Oklahoma State NEVER finished in the top 25, received votes once. Since then, Gundy has had a pair of top 25 finishes (including this year), and received votes one other time. He didn't get his first top 25 finish until 2008, 3 years after Miles left.

Miles is hardly a bad coach. But he's not an elite coach. He's at an elite program.

I could careless if Michigan ever returns quite honestly I hope they stay middle of the pack or worse for years to come.. Guess what the Big 10 is not better if Michigan is good. The Big 10 is better when many teams are good.

Then the Big Ten is still better if Michigan is good. I want a win over Michigan to actually mean something. Right now they aren't much higher on the rung than Indiana.
