Was a win for Iowa this year. Less than a month ago the conversation was whether Iowa should bother to play in the CBI, so they came a long way in a short while. I'd always prefer Iowa play in the NCAAs over the NIT, but they might as well make the best of it. I really like this team going forward, a lot of swagger in the young guys - Bohannon, Cook, Pemsl. I expect this year will their one year hiatus from the tournament. Good times ahead.

They exceeded my expectations this season. JB really did. Next year is an important one. They need to make the tournament and it not to be an 11th hour thing. Comfortable, preferably not a 7,8,9,10 seed. That's the only way to prove that this was in fact a rebuilding year.

I wonder if Pemsl has hit his ceiling with developing explosion. If not, he is going to be unreal good. Fran's main job this off season should be figuring out how to run an offense with both he and Cook on the floor at the same time. Then if Moss improves or Connor pulls a Bohannon, we can make a legit run at a conference title.

I am giddy about the future of our post players with what they have and what is coming in. If Pemsl & Cook can add some muscle they might become unstoppable in the low post.
