Just teasing here, but ....

doesn't Iowa's Chuck Long realize that Wisconsin has beaten Iowa 5 out of the last 6 encounters at Kinnick (and the last 4)? Iowa does better at the Camp. Pink locker rooms don't seem to be having the same effect on us as they once did.

With a better defense and better oline we couldn't beat you last year. I don't know why people think that it will happen this year.

Chuck's probably thinking about all the beat downs he and his Iowa mates laid on the Badgers back in the day. The pink locker room thing only got under Bo Schembechler's skin more than anyone else.

"because every year Iowa beats a good team at home"

except the facts don't really agree with that at all, but hey the 3 times it happened over the past decade were awesome

Well, in fairness, no Badger fan knows how our D will do. There's some comfort there in that it has ALWAYS (the last 3 years) stepped up and filled the holes. And we THINK those holes can be filled, just not how well. What has many of us excited is our O that SHOULD be as exciting as the 2010 and 2011 teams. We got stung by the Cephus/Davis thing but it was at a position Chryst has long been able to work around. IMO, you will now se a more diversified O, relying on TE's, and RBs in the offensive scheme than what we might have seen with the presence of Cephus and Davis (hopefully Davis will be back for the Iowa game but it's not a given).

the badgers o-line and RB worry me, lucky Iowa has a good and deep defensive line (that match up could be the key as to who wins the game.) I was surprised to see Howard Griffith picked your badgers 4th best in the conference.

I don't see that as happening."kicking the snot out of Wisconsin" that is. I do think that if Stanley is hot you have a chance to upset us.
I don't see a snot kicking either way.. I'll be interested to see how your defense is. Your replacing like 7 starters from last yr right? Wisky has been phenomenal at replacing defensive guys in recent years. But I'll be curious to see if the odds don't catch up with them this year with that. 7 is a lot and at some key spots I believe. Most of the media talking heads don't seem to think it'll be a big deal and think they'll be a top 10ish team no sweat. I think they have a challenging road schedule with Iowa be the first. If Wisky is what some think they are they'll sure have to earn it and it'll be impressive if they do.

What did he say? I'm guessing he's predicting an Iowa win.

And yes, Wisconsin owns Kinnick and it will continue as long as KF tries to match up and play physical with Wisconsin. Its a mismatch. Has been for nearly a decade.

Iowa needs to realize what it is. A team with a solid QB, great TEs, experience at WR, average at best OL, & unproven running backs. Most coaches would see that formula and try to throw the ball more going against the real bullies of the B1G. Iowa is going to most likely try to run right at you and we've all seen that movie over and over.

I don’t see Iowa winning this either, (I’ll be flying in from Florida for the game, so I hope I’m wrong) however I think one small factor that gets overlooked that gives Iowa a chance is the simple fact that Nate Stanley, toren Young and kristian Welch will be playing a lot of snaps and were all Wisconsin high school kids who got blown off by the badgers as recruits. I think win or lose we’ll see a career game from Stanley.

I don't think Wiskys front 7 is going to be quite the bullies of years gone by this year... I think they are replacing 7 overall starters off of last yrs team as I'd mentioned a little bit ago. Their offense will still be dominant I'm sure but they'll need to be if their D isn't what it has been.

I hope your right and that's a great opportunity for the kids, but the other side of that argument could be the fact that they were blown off because Wisconsin felt they had better recruits to fill those positions.

Chuck might be basing his opinion on the fact that the Hawks, At Kinnick, do rather well against Top 5 teams recently and in the not too distant past. Michigan, Penn State and Ohio State the past two years.....

Wisconsin was certainly the better team last season at Camp Randall. The Hawks were definitely outplayed. However, they were coming off one of their greatest victories the week before. Absolutely nobody thought we would win that one. The energy and emotion spent that day took it's toll on the Hawks the following weekend, especially at Camp Randall against another Top Ten team.....

I wondered, at first, why the Badgers were favored by 2 TDs, but after thinking about the situation, I realized that Vegas had this one quite correct. There were many Hawk Fans who took the points on that one.....

I have always liked watching Wisconsin in football and especially basketball, and want them to beat anyone else in the Big.....

Gonna be a good one. I do believe the Hawks have a solid chance to actually win this one, simply based on past performance against the Top Five teams. Not even drinking the Kool Aid. I do expect a brutal game which I hope will be close.....

Iowa is only returning 4 full time starters on defense as well (Hesse, A Nelson, M Nelson, and Hooker). And they lost their starting WLB in the spring. Are you expecting them to take a step back as well?

Maybe so, and maybe that’ll increase the chips on their shoulders. However Wisconsin definitely whiffed on Stanley. Hornibrook has a 1900 yd rusher, legit WRs and the best O-line in the country and still is average at best. If Stanley was QB there he’s be a consensus all American.

I love the arrogance of Wisconsin now that they have won a few in a row. Not too long ago Fry was working on a winning streak in the decades against this same team. The worm always turns and Iowa has the ability to beat Wisconsin. It might not happen, but I got tickets and I'll be there rooting for the Hawks. When it happens it will be ever the sweeter.

I'm not expecting them to set the world on fire right away no. I think our Dline will be our strength but it just remains to be seen how the LBs and secondary do. Our corners have played some but not a ton either. If our Dline is drop dead dominant they can sure make the back 7s job a lot easier for them but if they aren't....

You really aren't kidding. A Wisky fan comes on here and says this and prefaces it by "Just Kidding". You are a Badger fan first.

I can't believe you got away with rubbing it in our face... Calling it.
