Just listened to a live broadcast (Local Nashville) of Pearl

Pearl mentioned Iowa twice - both in passing and both in regards to NCAA appearances while he was here. One was the '89 appearance and couldn't understand the 2nd one.

Pearl mentioned the Big10 as a power conference. He said the SEC was not a power conference and was disappointed with his teams seed. Said that the SEC only had three teams in the RPI top 50 (true statement).

I know I'm reading way too much into this but I'm just reporting what I heard.

Come to a power conference,Bruce!
Pipedream? Probably, but you never know how comfortable a Jewish guy feels in cracker country, right?

Interesting...obviously he must still have some feelings for the Big Ten...coupled with other rumors that he is not 100% enamored with UT anymore...maybe its the perfect storm??

Interesting comments. Not that they guarantee anything, but let's hope that Pearl feels the pull of Big Ten country. :D

I can see it now... Instead of the ususal Midnight Madness... we can call it "Pearl Jam!"

Did you see Pearl Jam on SNL?

My God. There's a reason they remain my favorite band. Their newest album is outstanding, by the way. Best thing since Ten in my opinion.

Seriously? My opinion is that they've been producing an inferior music product since Vitalogy.
I had friends of mine tell me that the only song worth buying on their new album was 'The Fixer'.

It was a joke.

Joker, how in the heck are we supposed to know that you are the kind of guy that would tell a joke on these here message boards? At least give us a clue next time, Joker, that you may be telling us a joke. Joker, can you do that for us, Joker?

The Fixer is actually one of the weaker songs on the album.

I haven't warmed up to their albums since Yield. This one really pleasantly surprised me.
