Just Iowa's luck

I think it's poor close-outs on Iowa half the time. Opposing teams are able to get their guards to penetrate to the paint causing the Iowa guard-defenders to collapse. When the ball is kicked out, seems like Iowa struggles to get back to their man.

Career games against Iowa has been happening on a regular basis for as long as I can remember.

I agree it always feels this way. But I watch a lot of Big 10 games with so many being televised. Lots of guys have career nights against lots of teams. I just don't notice it because it doesn't hurt as much when it happens elsewhere. For example...Myles Mack of Rutgers is shooting 30.9% from 3 and was 2-9, 1-4, 2-8 and 0-3 in the 4 games prior to the Wisconsin game. He was 4-9 against Wisconsin. He had scored 16, 15, 10 and 8 points leading up to his 21 point game against Wisconsin. So it does happen to other teams. But I could care less when it does.

The other thing that gets me is how well visiting teams shoot against us at Carver. ISU and MSU both torched the nets against us. Other teams seem to hit a decent % too.
Add Wisconsin to that list in their game at Carver last year. I remember that Duke kid and that Bronson kid torched the nets last year.

Here is a gem... Aubrey Dawkins (90% of you are thinking WHO??) for Michigan was 6-7 from three with 20 points against Illinois this year. For the rest of the year combined, Dawkins is 4-15 (27%) from three with 23 points.

It's not just Iowa, and at least Trice is an All-Conference player.

I hear what you are saying but the bad part of it is, is that we lost to them. :( At this time an old saying comes to my mind. I don't remember who said it, surely one of you will know who said it. "I have seen the enemy and it is us."

That was from the comic strip, Pogo.
