Just how tone deaf is the Nebraska media?

If I'm one of those schools Nebby is thinking about I tell them, "sure we will play you, but it's in our house". They may be so desperate for a 6th win they would consider anything, including a road game.

If that storm stays on path, I can't see any way the Cocks play on Saturday. Columbia got rocked by a Hurricane a few years ago and the flooding was intense. No way they should bring people into that area unless they are fleeing the evacuation zone. I would love to see Nebraska travel down to Columbia on December 1 if that was the only makeup game they could get.

50-60 people are gonna die - billions in damages - homes and lives ruined, but hey if we can get a 12th game with Liberty outta this deal, win-win. I'd be shocked if some heads didn't roll off that headline.

I'm all for them getting another game, I just think the headline is a big LOL, WTF kind of deal.

On the radio, they were talking about this same very thing for Iowa State getting a game later as well. Not just Nebraska.

it just seems in poor taste to me? I mean, I realize its a possibility, just seems kind of tone deaf to the big picture. Maybe that's just me.

Oh, I don't disagree with you there. I can't remember what sport talk show I was listening to. It might have even been the one on 800 with the Iowa State guys and Chuck Long, etc..

Iowa State sports talk radio on an AM station? Let's be honest here, bud. These are the kinds of incels who would find a silver lining in 9/11 because it created a wave of newly single mom's who will be looking for men.

It is hard to imagine how important Nebraska football is to Nebraska residents until you spend some time there. I've had hundreds of meetings on business in Omaha, and my partners and I play a little game. We take bets on the over/under for the number of minutes in the initial conversation that pass before the topic of Nebraska football comes up. No matter what the topic of the business discussion is or how important it may be, Nebraska football almost invariably comes up within 15 minutes.

They really do have a "fanatical" fan base. It is just crazy.

The state of Nebraska football is one where they will claw for a bid to the Foster Farms bowl.

What? Here I thought they were a volleyball school. By the way their best player is from West Point Iowa!

The Hurricane as it relates to the sports page is about scheduling for ISU and Neb. If the front page of the DMR or OWH is how the hurricane helps the 'skers I think that's a different story.

Where did all those clown posters ever run off to? You are the sole survivor. Hang in there BryceC you are the best of the bunch. The fuskers and the clowns are probably going to fight over who gets who.
