Just another example of how....

Greg Davis and Bobby Kennedy couldn't coach themselves out of a wet paper bag....

"From a passing standpoint, it was Deshaun Watson’s best day of camp and today he found familiar targets, along with a new one. Watson is working well with Riley McCarron and the two had a solid day together, resulting in two touchdowns. McCarron split the seam on one pass to make a diving catch off the arm of Watson and then ran a one-on-one route to beat a defender as Watson had him coming out of his break."

I thought our receivers couldn't get separation? That's all we heard the last 5 years. I think it's becoming more and more obvious...and will be even more so after the season gets started....that our players weren't the problem. It was Bobby Kennedy coaching them and GD designing piss-poor route trees that didn't scheme to get them open. We heard when Davis got here that we had no speed at receiver. We got Damond Powell and McCarron (both who ran sub 4.4 40's) and others and he couldn't do jack squat with them.

I'm glad more and more every day that neither of those two guys are anywhere near our program.....

could be true, spider. but splitting a seam is a zone defense. beating a man coverage could be indicative, but was he facing another rookie that won't make the team? Time will tell this season, you're right. We should have an indicator. However, why were GD and BK allowed to stick around for 5 and 4 years, respectively? That's be my question.

It may very well be exciting. However, what are you basing that on? Deep concern, fear, skeptical.....all come to mind.

For me, HG, it's the anticipation to see if our offense will be more aggressive. I mean, that's what we were all promised would happen if brian became the OC. Remember, he is the only one that has the ability to challenge kirk's conservatism. We'll find out in '17 of that's true or not. I hope it is.

I'm not being smart mouthed. Seriously why do you think he can do it aside from the fact that he is a bit fiery and spent some time with NE?

I thihk people underestimate KF's fire. It may show up as passive aggressive, but that still is fire.

Honestly, it is everyone else that has used that argument "that brian is the only one that can stand up to kirk and have a more open offense" that I am anxious to see if it's true or not. I am not convinced that anything will be different.

I am hoping as well.

I think our young receivers, multiple tight ends along with Butler at rb will exceed expectations. Of course I'm hoping, nothing concrete although the subtraction of Greg Davis is an addition.

I sincerely hope you are correct. Wish there were more tangibles. Will Butler know the plays?

I agree. I'm taking a wait and see attitude

I'm prolly the only one.... but Riley was a walk on who this staff turned into a serviceable WR by his senior season. I remember him make plenty of separation (Nebraska comes to mind) and I have the exact opposite opinion as the original poster on here. The staff turned a walk on into a guy who's turning heads in an NFL camp... that's GREAT coaching.

Great player development. Bad game day coaching. Par for the course.

I want to see if I can predict the plays that will be run, like we've almost all been able to for the past 4-5 years
