1) Offensive playcalling - I thought it was really good Saturday night. Well, and actually the first game as well. You can definitely see that they've added some plays for CJ such as that reverse and some others. You can tell they have confidence in him letting him freely audible and run the offense. He has the keys to the car.
2) Lucas Legrand - I thought he did a terrific job. There were a couple miscues on snaps but that is to be expected. He seemed to get on his blocks very well and stayed in rhythm with the other guys.
3) It sure is nice finally having a NFL QB as the starting QB for Iowa. He has total control of the offense and is making very good decisions, from knowing when to throw the ball away to knowing when to call timeouts. He doesn't get too high or low and let things get to him. He's making all the throws.
4) Kicking - Punting and placekicking seem to be a nice surprise and pretty consistent. Haven't seen a lot from Duncan at this point or in a tight situation but the balls are flying off his foot nicely on the PAT's. He's driving them through.
5) Team is a more "complete" team then I thought they would be. With Vandeberg's success and that kicking game, I think Iowa is pretty close to being a complete team. At least more complete than in the past years.
