Junior World Team Trials Going On This Weekend

Madison will give us a glimpse of the future of Team USA wrestling as the Junior division of the World Team Trials is under way this weekend too, and several Hawkeye’s and Cyclone’s will be in the mix for a spot on the Junior team.

Sorenson was a 13-0 winner.

Gross lost his first round match, will be wrestling shortly.

Brooks will have Sliga

Gilman has Lambert

Gillman, Sorenson, and Brooks all made tehe team trial finals of the mini tournament.


Gilman won and will face Tomasello (Ohio State) in the best 2 out of 3 tournament.

Sorenson lost to Retherford 11-1. Retherford will face Pico.

Brooks lost to Gabe Dean (Cornell) 9-5.

Sorenson lost to Short (Minnesota) in the 3rd place match.

Brooks lost to Pfarr (Minnesota) in the 3rd place match.

Gilman took Match #1 8-4 over Tomasello. Apparently Tomas has decided to sport a Mike Zadick like beard.

Another win and he will become a member of the World Team for 2014.
