What is JJs 40?
We see he is a ball hawk. But is he fast enough?

Given that before the season, not much was heard of JJ outside of Iowa. I don't think this one year is going to make him a first rounder.
I think Jackson's real problem with the NFL will be the pass defense techniques the Iowa program didn't teach him. He'll really have to make up for those deficiencies with lots of athleticism which he, apparently, already has.He needs to run far far far far far away from this program as fast as possible
Money is a consideration, but it can't buy happiness, nor can you buy back your senior year of college football after making the decision to leave early. Playing with your buddies in college is definitely different than playing for a paycheck in the pros. He will get the right information and make the right decision for him, and I am sure he will be highly successful either way.
The Wisconsin game did way more for his recognition than the Ohio State game.No way they beat OSU without his contributions.

He'll be competing against guys who are faster. He's a good back. I don't think he'll be here next year. But 1st round is a stretch. High second. Third round. If he runs a 4.4 forty and can turn his hips and run with guys during his individual workouts that's not going to matter.
Thought this was interesting. CBS Sports' Chris Trapasso has Jackson as the #19 overall prospect right now.
Unrelaed to Jackson, for those who follow recruiting, there are a couple interesting names at #8 and #17 in Orlando Brown and Chukwuma Okorafor. Iowa notably finished second in the recruiting battle for both after being the first major conference school to recruit either guy. Those two were both in the '14 class, which also featured the memorable miss on Ross Pierschbacher, who has now started more than 40 games in his career at Alabama. All three of those lineman (as well as Jackson) were initially low-to-mid 3-stars with zero other P5 offers when Iowa began recruiting them. For all the flaws of the coaching staff, they still have one of the quickest eyes for talent.
(For those who will call me on it, yes, Brown and RP did blow up tremendously after their initial rankings, and both ended up as high-3/low-4 star players with lots of major offers.)
Or scoring the only 14 points in an entire game with two pick sixes.I suppose it is equally important serving that he was able to have a huge game twice in a row, but I would certainly think that 3 picks on a QB of JT Barrett's caliber is far more valuable to the NFL evaluation.

Pass rushers and cover guys that is what NFL defense(s) want. NFL teams are only in their base 50% of the time. A team that doesn’t have immediate needs JJ would be a good pick in the mid to late 1st rd. A nickel guy who can eventually be the starter.
