Josh Oglesby Played Like a Champion

In my opinion, his best game as a Hawkeye when Iowa needed him the most. Great Senior leadership tonight.

I have been hard on him, for which I humbly apologize. He was terrific today

Good for Oges. I really hope he can stay hot through the rest of the season.

Man, if he, Jok, and Uthoff can all get hot in the same game....yowsa. say, against wisky for a B1G championship

For some reason it is awesome as a fan to watch seniors end their careers on a high note. I'm still hoping he has a monster game left in him.

Anything they can get from him is a bonus and if he is knocking down the 3 that certainly helps out. Good for him these past several games.

By far the most "clutch" and meaningful three point performance of his career, coming off his previous most clutch shooting in big moments. Really happy for him.

He had two that went in and out also.. including the bank from 30 ft.

Yea what was up with White on that play? They only had 5 seconds on the clock and White just casually stood there wasting a few seconds until Oglesby came around. Oglesby was forced to take a stupid long three and still almost made it.

Bobby Hansen said he looked relaxed when shooting the ball, and emphasized that if he didn't think about it too much or too long than his rhythm was perfect......on the rebounding side, Bobby said, "Can we please just rebound the ball"....Since I didn't watch it, and for those that did, it must've been something to see...

Same here. Was really down on Ogs about a month ago before he got sick but he has come back with a fury. Keep it going for rest of year and he can change his legacy, kinda like Eric May or Matt Gatens. I'm not saying all of those people had similar careers or anything, just that they ended their careers very strong after struggling for chunks of it.

Same here also. Was super down on Olgesby but equally glad now that he is nailing 3's at such vital point in our season.

Good lesson and reminder about staying the course and being persistent even when things are going south.

No, if he's getting minutes he needs to make shots.

Points should not be thought of as a bonus from a guy who is in there to shoot.

This x 10000000000. He isn't a shut down defender, so he has to contribute more than that when on the court. His job is to hit shots first and foremost, then play D, find the open man, and not turn the ball over. The last few games he has done his job perfectly and I am so happy for him that he is closing out his Sr. year this way.

Yeah I had forgotten about that mental fart White had... that was RIGHT after a timeout also.

White has been a beast lately ... but he seems like he is a guy who might prefer to talk rather than listen during a timeout.

I'm sure the coaching staff had mentioned the shot clock 20 times (there was 6 sec left on it).

Agreed. I am not expecting May/Gatens, but it is nice to see him play fearless, not over thinking everything.

Definitely Ogles3's best game. I'd liked to have been a fly on the wall when White had the players only meeting. He must have found the right button to get these guys to trust themselves and play with confidence even when the other team is putting up a fight like Illinois and Penn State have this week.
