Josey’s Rookie Haircut Is Spectacular

I don't know where Bower is on the all-time list of Hawkeye LBs, but I feel like that dance video needs to elevate him at least a few spots.

There's a huge difference between bullying and harsh hazing rituals (such as some of the old-fashioned fraternity stuff), and sports rookie traditions that are completely in fun and not meant to be cruel. Obviously, if they go to far and endanger an individual, they should be condemned, but things like funky haircuts and having rookies carry shoulder pads, etc., are completely in fun and team-building.

I guarantee that if Bo or Josey were asked about all of this, they would be the first to laugh about it.

What is your position on ookie cookies and soggy biscuits?

This is absurd. Hazing is done to create bro-dom. Shared sacrifice. Pay dues. If you're such a whiny byatch that your tendies are launched into space over some pranks by the time you make a pro league, you're going to get eaten alive by the grown ass men you will face off against on the other team.

I honestly don't think this country could win WWII with the candy asses we have running around today.

All the sensitivity you may have learned through society is stripped away and replaced with the responsibility to protect and save lives during basic training. I wouldn't worry about our ability to win wars.

Plus in 10 to 20 years our biggest conflicts will be fought by talented individuals nice and cozy in a remote military installation.

8 weeks of Basic ain't gonna strip the gallons of soy that has been fed to these kids.

It's all about where you draw the line, and context.

Things that are harmful, dangerous, degrading or disgusting crosses the line. Haircuts, funny clothes, running errands, singing, etc. is in good fun.
