-If Iowa goes 11-1 & wins the B1G title game, the Rose is their ‘worst case’*
-If Iowa goes 11-1 & loses the B1G title game, I think the Rose will take them over Michigan St"

But what if OSU loses before the BIG championship but beats us in the championship? (There could be a three-way tie for the east if, for example, OSU beats MSU, but loses to Michigan.) OSU would most likely NOT be in the playoffs and would most likely be picked to go to the Rose, right? Also, if 2 loss Michigan runs the table the Rose would take them over Iowa, right? These are just a couple examples that could trip us up.

I want to believe we're in good shape for the Rose but think Jon might be over simplifying things a bit.

My wife and I are thinking the same thing. We're going to Pasadena if Iowa's playing, but only Pasadena.

Dumbest thought ever in the history of ever!!!!! Typical of many Iowans who are more worried about their Bowl destination then a shot at a National Championship....pathetic. Sorry, just my opinion.

Play-Off or Rose Bowl? I don't see a bad option there.

Rose bowl is a great bowl, but it's not the game it was 30 years ago. Playing Utah in the rose bowl is not like playing someone like Alabama or another big team from the SEC in a power 6 bowl. It's a new paradigm in college football.

Rose Bowl doesn't serve Iowa very well. I know the older folks love it, and will pee themselves over it, but it's not good from a TV or recruiting perspective.

Literally, if this team takes one game at a time, they should in in every game left this year. But I can see a loss to Indiana. I can see Nebby wrecking our season.

There has never been a game Iowa has played where I didn't think losing was a possibility. There have been few games where I didn't think Iowa had a path to victory either. Excepting years we had either o line, or lb issues. Where everyone blames something else, and I wonder what exactly it is that they watch when they watch Iowa football. There really is no new Kirk, there is our offensive as it has always been. That is to say it is based largely on three linebackers. And execution. Boring. Not very sexy.
