Jon, you are underestimating Northwestern

I'm surprised to see you have them so low in your predictions at just 5-7. Obviously they have given Iowa fits over the last couple of years, but they have given other teams trouble too. I know they are bringing in a new QB this year, but Northwestern seems to revolve in new QBs that pickup the system very quickly and excel. I fully expect them to get to a bowl and probably 7 wins. Illinois is not getting to a bowl this year, and I think you have Michigan too high as well, although I think they will get to a bowl.

I may be and I believe I even wrote that I could see amending my pick for them before the season starts.

I agree with NW being too low in your projections. Persa has some experience at QB, he's not coming in completely new to this. Their offense will be dangerous enough to win some games alone. I do think they will take a step back from their success over the last 2 years because they lose a lot on D, but they have an easy enough schedule to get to 6 or 7 wins.

Its not just a new QB. 3 new WRs, 2 new O-linemen and a new RB. Thats a lot to replace. They also replace 5 defensive players. Fitz will have them competing but they could have a down year.

I don't think there will ever be a more exciting game then their bowl game last year. Thought the thing was over about 7 times!!

The only way it could have been better is if they'd got the win for the Big ten.
