This isn't taking anything away from Gettis. If Mac played to his potential and Gettis was good enough to take his spot back when he got healthy, it would mean Gettis is living up to KF's statement that he is going to be one of the best linemen in the league.

Pretty interesting to look back at how things have turned out. Particularly considering Kirk's comments at his press conference, which appear to indicate Nolan is more than holding his own as a starter.
 
can someone please help me out here! i'm pretty confused--- did we loose someone or get hurt since Saturday or yesterday when 2 deeps were released!?!
 
Just going back and looking at the speculation before we found out McMillan would be starting.

Seems appropriate considering that people are speculating that Gettis might have been Wally Pipp'd by McMillan.
 
Yeah, this statement from KF's presser today really caught my interest and I thought that going back to see what we were all saying before we knew what was going on would be interesting.

Pleasant surprise because we knew less about him...we got to see Gettis...had a good spring and fall. Seemed like he had turned a corner...much like Zus, not played much but kept improving...Nolan missed most of fall and all of spring with hernia...first week in camp OK and kept taking steps. You cant predcit that..so far so good and he is getting more confident...a little like Riley Reiff story but had seen Riley more going into last year...good future.
 
thanks guys for the updates---- i was pretty freaked out for a second--- to bad gettis though wont' be back--but looking like more to be a great problem, didn't realize an ankle sprain can cost a player a month (this happened back in camp didn't' it? )
