One thing is clear: He really wants the job. Dickie V was campaigning for him aggressively in a DSM radio interview today, and said Steve is interested. I don't think Vitale would be drilling on this at every opportunity if Lavin isn't really interested.

Interesting. Question is though, is Barta willing to talk to Lavin.

I have very little faith in Barta, that being said he did step up and dismiss Lick when most thought he would not. I would hope he would at least explore the possiblity and interview him. It could do no harm at all to interview him. If he did and he thought he was the best qualified then I would hope he would hire him...
