I like how he was doing damage control with his wife offering her to stay at hotel or her brother's prior to her completely blaming him for the move. I can read between the lines!
Yea, one snake could be looked at as a total fluke, but finding them go up the walls and a 5 footer in the house is a total different situation. Good luck Jon!
Hopefully that is not the reason the previous owners moved. I suspect it's more the perfect formula with rain pushing the rodents and snakes up along with the extra wood around the house now. Should be better in a couple weeks. I think Jon just happened to move unfortunately during this perfect storm.

Don't visit Thailand, poisonous snake capitol of the world. The Bangkok Snake Farm is the world's largest collection of these slithering snakes. I toured the farm. In a back room, where snakes were in fish tanks, I heard a sharp sound as I walked by a tank. That was a "step and a half" snake striking the glass as it was trying to bite me. It was a small, thin, short green snake. One bite and you have a step and a half before you are dead.

My wife was born in Stillwater, we live in Colorado currently. But when our daughter graduates we are almost certainly Oklahoma bound. Can't wait. Might be able to afford to live again. I'll fight the snakes!

Per capita, Pueblo has the highest percentage of violent crime in the state. You must live out here as well. No thanks, I'll pass. At this point the only way we end you staying is if we move rural and east.

Good grief...IMO a snake situation like that is A HINT AND A HALF TO GET OUT!

No crap. It's one thing if they just stay on the ground but if they are crawling up walls, that's a whole other thang! That means they can crawl up and join you in bed. F that!
Jon - Don't tell me it's a limestone house or foundation. My sister's family lived in a very old limestone home on an acreage prior to building their new home. She found snakes in her house on occasion. The snakes like to crawl up in the limestone and lay in there where it's cool and such. Also, the abundant mice in the house was no reason to leave either.

amen brother...not many things in nature bother me. But SNAKES....no thank you. I'm freaked out by anything that moves that fast without legs or wings.

Nothing's more comforting when out in the woods and you look 4-8 feet in front of you and see and hear the grass moving. My buddie and I grew up messing around the river and woods and have encountered many snakes when younger. Always freaked me out.
