I don't buy this completely, KF is to blame some, but we didn't change from one guy to a better guy, we went the experiment route.

People who think this clearly haven't watched Iowa play, now or ever.

This offense, for the most part, was NOTHING like KOK's offense. Not in terms of the eyeball test, nor in terms of statistical results. Only over the last month were more elements of KOK's system installed, and it's no coincidence that the offense actually looked solid when running that stuff. The problem was that we went away from it every week, and each time we did, the offense went back to sucking.

I somehow doubt that Kirk demanded that Davis go away from what Kirk was perfectly comfortable with for 13 years. That, plus the fact that the ridiculously stupid offensive scheme we've been seeing is EXACTLY what Davis ran at Texas (and was running when he got fired), tell me that the offensive scheme is the result of what Davis is trying to do, NOT what Ferentz is telling him to do.
