Saw this on HawkCentral today, maybe Jon can get Deace to come over an they can do their "State Fair Tradition" duet :)

Hip-hop artist Big Boi, mash-up duo Super Mash Bros. and coaches and players from Hawkeye athletic teams will be featured at Hawkapalooza 2010.
Hawkapalooza will begin at 6 p.m. Sept. 2 in Hubbard Park. This annual kickoff for Hawkeye athletics, presented by Hawks Nest and SCOPE Productions, is free and open to the public.

Jon Miller, the founder of the popular Hawkeye athletic site, hawkeyenation.com, will host the Hawkapalooza Pep Rally. Miller is also a voice in sports radio around Iowa, hosting the “Miller and Deace in the Morning” show, which airs Monday through Friday on KXNO 1460-AM in Des Moines, as well as co-hosting “Soundoff” with Jim Zabel on WHO 1040-AM following all Iowa football games. Miller will be a co-host of a new television show called “The Pulse,” the first all-opinion sports show for the Big Ten Network.

Is he going to be piped in from Ames? He's been telling us all summer that he plans on going to the Cyclone home opener. He must be assuming it will still be flooded. Good move Jon.

I have said that I have really enjoyed the ISU home opener in the past. this year, I will be at Hawkapalooza and really looking forward to it

Since Jon will be in I.C that evening I guess I'll have to take his place in Ames. Neighbor ask me to go with him.

Johnny Majors was coach the last time I attended a football Clone football game.

May be wrong but Barry Sanders may have been playing in that game.
