your support of Forbes? I think if every fan emailed Barta interested in Forbes he could not help but to think about it? I guy on the other FREE board has been talking him up. He is a person from a KU site and is really spot on. He must have worked for NIKE as a Basketball guy. He says Forbes has a staff and players lined up already should be get the opportunity. He thinks he would raise the talent level to heights Iowa has not seen since Raveling. I believe his name is Mark Maggard.

Yes, I'm sure if Barta hires Forbes based on a number of emails he receives that you'll let him off the hook and not blame him if the hire doesn't work out. I'm guessing most of you would turn on the excuse machine and turn this board into a "Barta interviewed him and hired him, not me. It's his job to figure out if he could handle the job or not".

Barta's job may be in jeopardy based on this hire and I can't imagine he's going to give someone his first head coaching job when his own rear is on the line.

Has anyone emailed hime voicing their opinions?

Curious if he has replied. I know He has a good history of replying to fans but probably not in this case.

Though I don't always agree with him, Jon has more power via his radio show than he does with e-mails. Right or wrong, he can probably spark a bunch of e-mails/phone calls/contacts with the case he makes on air.

*Not that I'm saying that's what he's trying/or has tried to do.

I emailed him last week (either Tuesday or Wednesday) asking him to consider Mike Dunlap. He did not respond.

BTW< the story on the front page, the letter to Barta, was written yesterday morning before this post was made...and its not intended to be a 'real' letter to Barta, just a literary device
