With the announcement of AC coming back, what are your thoughts on Dace applying for a 6th year (and if he does, chances of getting one)? You almost have to look at him as one of the guys who can leave "early" because I cannot imagine a 6th being turned down.

A 6th year is there for him if he wants to return. He already graduated in May. Most think he is done and wants to give the NFL a shot. Ferentz said he had his most fun as a Hawkeye this past year, so that says something. I have no inside info, but think there is a good shot he may return. I hope so anyway.

With Clayborn returning, our defensive line is set. The o-line is where we have questions. If Dace and/or Buluga returns, that is huge. That said, I heard on more than one radio interview, that Dace will try the NFL.

Dace needs to STAY........he needs to prove he can go a full season without injury!

If Dace comes back I'd be thrilled, but he's got a big decision to make. If he comes back to Iowa for a 6th year, he'll be almost 25 years old when he starts his NFL rookie season in 2011. It wouldn't surprise me at all if he leaves now.
