I listened to Jon on Deace's show yesterday. I thought of several things never brought up. I believe a higher percentage of non athletes than athletes get into trouble. Iowa City is a party town. A lot of kids from UNI go to IOwa City on the week-ends. They brought up about how Iowa fans would be ripping the SEC schools if the things that happened in Iowa happened there. Hello. Similar thing have happened in the SEC. Urban Meyer had many problems. Florida State probably had more. I have friend in Texas, who tells me there are always players getting in trouble there. This type of stuffs happens most places.

I don't think what Deace said is extremely out of line, frankly. I love the Hawks and Kirk Ferentz but he made some mistakes here and has in the past. I don't have a problem with anyone criticizing Iowa if they're fair and balanced and I think Deace mostly was.
I didn't think Matt and Miller were on their show and I posted something about that. And it's ok to do that when their criticism goes beyond being fair and gets personal.
However, I do get tired of some of us always defending the program no matter how bad they have bungled things and then trying to slay the messenger no matter how obvious it is that the program and those running it have screwed up.

All I heard was the weather and how the VFW cancelled Bingo and ruined my plans last night. Oh, and 2 callers who obviously didn't know anything about anything before they called in. Did Jon actually get to talk?
