Handing out zero suspension for two separate offenses, when one of which is a dui, does kind of make Fran look bad. What would it hurt us to suspend him for the opening game against a cupcake? It would show that we don't tolerate misbehavior and will shut opposing teams up from saying that we have no discipline...which is something we freely claim about other coaches, including ISUs and MSUs.

Hopefully the rest of the team won't make Fran pay for being lenient, but I don't think Fran's hand was forced or anything and I am happy with his decision.
