Was I talking to you?
I think these two new videos show he's got good ball handling skills, can shoot the 3, had a nice mid range game, can penetrate off the dribble, can pass, and he isn't some skinny kid who needs to pack on 20 lbs (he looks fairly developed going into his SR. year.).
He doesn't look super explosive, but that is probably because of the injuries. The more I see of Jok, the more I think we could get an absolute steal because of the injuries, and him flying under the radar.
I think in the latest videos, it looks like he has improved just from that first one that was posted in terms of movement and assertiveness. You can tell he is very skilled. LIke you said, he has good handles, can shoot it from 3 and has a good midrange game, strong upper body, looks to have a good basketball IQ.
The explosiveness is not there but I think he looks to be better than that first video. It will be interesting to see where he is at in another 6 months. He essentially played on one good leg for almost two years so I imagine it takes awhile to get the strength and explosiveness back in that leg. He should have had surgery as soon as it happened.
Ideal World: Marble has all-league year, goes pro, we get both Matthews and Jok.
Disagree. The 2013-14 team would be better with Marble and Jok or EC rather than having both EC and Jok with no Marble.
Probably. However, future of program could sure benefit from a player going pro. It would attract better recruits. Potential of both Jok and Matthews could be better than Marble. 2013-14 team would probably be better with Marble but the program could be better if he had an all-league year and went pro.
This doesnt make much sense. Having one player go pro after his junior year will not affect recruiting....at all.
Having White go pro didn't affect ISU's recruiting? Maybe it doesn't make much sense to us. But it seems to make a difference to recruits.
Please provide me with a link to an article or interview where one of ISU's recruits who verballed after White announced he was leaving for the NBA said that White's decision had an affect on his decision to verbal.
Jok seems to be playing well at recent AAU tournament.
