Jok recruiting: Now I get it

Everyone understands the copy and pasted stuff, it's the gibberish in between that makes no sense

Methinks it's his schtick. Or, at least his attempt at a schtick. Some people find Gallagher smashing watermelons funny, some do not.

Totally. Anybody who writes out five 'm's in "Ummmm" is jobbing you. Probably one our illustrious banned friends from the past.

The Trolldar is a-beepin'.

Recruits in Iowa are overrated!
Ummm... right Rhoads?
Keep getting your thugs and get the **** off this board superbowl every year little brother

Herby wasn't a troll. That's what made him so great.

This dude is somebody's "fun" idea to spice up hawkeyenation. More power to him.

Ummmm, most of this was directly pasted from the front page and the recruiting site it took me to. Only parts in my words are the ones about upside and our 3-year lineup plan with this current crop we have.

But yeah, if you think it was random, I felt the same way seeing a 3-year old article on the front recruiting page. And yes, Jok was once heralded right up there with Parker.

What about the other two guys?

Foster committed to Minny to play for Tubby Smith, but when Smith was fired, he was released and followed Tubby to Texas Tech. He was a huge disappointment in HS.

Tommy Hamilton left Chicago to IMG, and ended up getting lightly recruited and went to DePaul, where he is having a so-so frosh season.

Moral of the story....one in three sure-fire superstars panned out. That is how it goes in projecting young players.

I'm going to steal Jon's nickname for him from now on, Peter Joke.

Never once have I intentionally called him that...and I only say intentionally because I write and say a lot of things and don't know if there exists a typo or verbal miscue. You're wrong.
