Jok needs to sit until his back is better

If Iowa's going to win, it needs jok healthy. If he's not healthy, bad shooting and poor defense is the result. Right now he's a liability. This is a throw away year anyway. Get him healthy, maybe the freshman can get a bit better then with a healthy Jok maybe Iowa can alford their way into the NCAA as a 15 seed.

but our football coach has taught the other coaches how to play them hurt no matter what. remember the bowl game

If this is the Peter we're gonna get going forward - I agree. I would rather take our lumps and get other guys more experience for the future than have him out there in his current state. He's a turnover waiting to happen and isn't even trying to show effort on the defensive side.

Jok will from this point forward be a target for physical play. There is no one else to relieve the pressure.

and without Jok on the floor out offense becomes even more of a joke but right now he does need to rest get healthy

That's not fair to him for crying out loud... It's embarrassing for him and just not good for either him or the team. He's a shell of himself out there. Forget shot making he can't move/jump defend. I mean there's little difference between him now and Ellingson. Jok with his back hurt is just a slower non athletic version of himself and they may as well just have Ellingson out there instead. Or give Moss more mins (there's another thread mentioning the question about his pt I suspect dog house)

I couldn't believe what I was seeing in the IL game. What was the purpose of having him out there? It was accomplishing nothing and probably making his back even worse.

Get Moss more PT, get Ellingson in there............. I hope someone asks this question on the next call in show. Maybe Fran answered it in the post game. I didn't listen. I was too depressed.

We're screwed for the rest of the year. DEFINITELY no NCAA, possibly no NIT, Pete's draft stock is dropping like a rock and costing him millions, what a disaster.:(

Jok shot an air ball last night for fux sake... for real, he's not right, please stop playing him.

Find the guy a chiropractor? Not sure what exactly is going on with his back, but I agree - if he's going to be this ineffective, let him sit until he's healthy again.

yeah you'd think one of the best hospitals in the country would have a qualified chiropractor on staff> Can't believe no one else thought of this

He had a similar issue when he was 14. It lasted for several weeks. So he could be sitting for awhile which is hard to do to a senior. But the young guys will get more playing time. And the NBA scouts will get to see the real Jok late in the year if he can get back to 100%. I agree with others that he's not helping the team (or himself) right now. And a healthy Jok with experienced young guys could make a run in the BTT...only NCAA scenario at this point IMO.

Note - I would dress him. He certainly could get fouled and shoot some free throws at the end of a close game when the other team is fouling.

I agree. Are they giving him any type of injections or any thing of that nature to manage the problem?
