I wonder if this might precipitate a return to Iowa? Unlikely, but Iowa Western will certainly have a dynamic pair of DEs with Raymon and Coe.

Yes, this is very interesting indeed. I think it means he'll be back here, eventually.
IIRC it also had something to do with a child back home and he had an interesting comment after he left Iowa and found out coach K went to NEB. Article was by Howe on TOS. I'm on phone or would link
He left for two reasons, he wanted to be closer to home because his girlfriend had a child and he also was not a fan of Coach K at all. I've read that he is still close friends with many of the guys on the team and they still talk constantly. In fact, I remember reading somewhere right after Coach K left he had a FB conversation with Darian Cooper and John said had he of known Coach K was leaving he wouldn't have left.
At this point I'm trying to figure out eligibility. Since he left October 2011 did that count as one full year? I know he redshirted his first year. So if he joins Iowa with the 2013 class he's either going to have two or three years depending on how they treat the 2011-2012 season.
I'm not sure on eligibility but if he did RS 11-12, and was able to finish his degree by spring of 2013 I think he would still have 3 years to play right?
Unlike Rodney Coe, Raymon was academically eligible coming out of HS so he does not have to get a two year degree to be eligible to come back to Iowa. Which means in theory Raymon could join the team for 2013 spring ball and have three years of eligibility.
Ah thanks for the clarification. That would be great.Unlike Rodney Coe, Raymon was academically eligible coming out of HS so he does not have to get a two year degree to be eligible to come back to Iowa. Which means in theory Raymon could join the team for 2013 spring ball and have three years of eligibility.
