John Brady ARK State

He brought LSU back from some very dark times. Won a lot with his own guys. Struggled at the end of his 10 years but everyone I heard talk about him really liked him. Make sure he brings a recruiter from the midwest and I think he might be a pretty good hire right now.

I think I can speak for everyone when I say that we don't want a coach that just went 11-7 in the Sunbelt.

Can you also speak for everyone that you don't want a head coach that took his own players to the final 4 in 2005? He has been a winner and hasn't done well at Ark State recently, it may not be a ringing endorsement but the it shouldn't be a death knell either. I'm growing a little tired of hearing about Pearl and Keno and Gillespie. I'm actually trying to think of coaches that will come to Iowa and find success.

I think Keno would be more than happy to come to Iowa, Pearl not so much. Not saying it couldn't happen, anything can happen if you put the right number in front of 6 zero's but I still think its unlikely. That said it 100 times more likely that Pearl is coaching in Iowa City than a guy that just went 11-7 in the Sun Belt and is 29-30 in two seasons at Ark. St

He made the final four, but he didn't leave LSU he was fired (correct????). Why would you want someone who was fired?

Not saying I want Brady, but Hayden Fry was fired at SMU. Actually had Brady done at A State what HF did at North Texas; I'd be willing to consider him. But he hasn't. A guy with his resume that hit a home run when going back to a mid major would be very interesting if he had the right personality/charisma like a HF.
