Johan Santana no hits the Cardinals

Shows how terrible the Cards really are. Their luck with marginal players like freese is finally running out

Who saw the totally awesome guy in the jean shorts rush the field and get in the celebration?

Awesome!

1. One game hardly proves some kind of major shift like you just described.

2. You realize Freese is like the 5th or 6th best player in the Cards' lineup, right? It's not like he's being counted on to be The Man.

Without Albert they are an 80 win team which isnt good enough this year

Sour grapes much......they will win more than 80 games once again this year...

And while the Cards technically got no hit...the umps had some help with that...

Carlos Beltran, back at Citi Field for the first time since the Mets traded him last July, hit a line drive over third base in the sixth inning that hit the foul line and should have been called fair. But third-base umpire Adrian Johnson ruled it foul and the no-hitter was intact -- even though a replay clearly showed a mark where the ball landed on the chalk line.

Even an obvious troll still riles up Cards fans...settle down!

Honestly tho, I do think if Carpenter doesnt get healthy finishing .500 will be tough but I guess they get to beat up on the Cubs, Stros and Pirates so they might get there but not make the playoffs
