This guy has it going on. He is long, athletic, has hops, good handles and a sweet stroke. I like how he can take the ball with either the left or the right. If he keeps improving and grows, which I am guessing he will, it will be hard to keep him from starting on day one.

I haven't been this excited about an Iowa basketball recruit in a long time. This kid is going to be really good, and as long as he stays healthy I think it's very likely he'll be able to hand pick where he goes to college. Really hope Iowa can hang onto him. He has a smoothness to his game that is hard to teach. Just makes it look easy.

Had very little idea of what to expect from this kid. I knew he was supposed to be good but I was not expecting that. wow.

Glad Hoiberg decided to leave when he did, Hawks will be overtaking them very shortly.

I know his dad. I've played against and with his dad in pickup games at the Y here in Muscatine. At 6'5" he's already taller than his dad. BTW, his dad was on the Iowa Select AAU team in 1990 with teammates Chris Street, Fred Hoiberg and a host of other future college players.

We may be able to just play with 4 players with this kid in three years. I'm just trying to throw out the most lofty expectation I can. Playing four against five seems to fit the hype machine. That being said, with the support he has right now, he could be a five star player by the time he's a high school senior. He needs to go to some McDonald's All-American games and start recruiting.
