Joe Wieskamp Did Some Work in Iowa City Last Night

He's not a off-the-charts leaper and athlete but he's athletic enough with his size and skill set to be a really, really good player. And he's only a junior.

Maybe someone can send him a pair of these. I know first hand, they work.

He reminds me of Baer...

Can't have enough solid players like that...

Another plus...seems to like using the glass on his shots...

Thanks for sharing!

I LOVE guys like Baer. I also really like the "story" that was Mark Weisman. Bottom line, one, maybe 2, Baers are plenty. They bring it, every night, can offer a spark and, sometimes, even keep you competitively in the game but they simply are never enough to WIN you games.

Joe just might have a better inside game than Nicholas.....

Before making a final assessment, I must observe firsthand Joe's feet and footwork.....

Everything hinges on this evaluation.....

Using the glass is essential.....

Not everyone uses this wonderful scoring aid. Never could understand why.....

Yep. He's going to be a very good player for us. He does a lot of stuff very, very well.

I thought he was more of a shooter, but if it's that easy for him to score inside then why not. Probably a good thing he is expanding his game. He can already dunk with ease and his athletic ability should keep improving. How tall is he listed?

This kid can score. Putting the ball in the basket is as important as anything. If he can fill out and get stronger the older he gets then that'll only help. Will he be a SF at the college level? Or is he athletic enough to be a SG? Another question I have is is he done growing?

two years will make a big difference in his physical growth and overall game...I am glad Fran got him...

Perhaps he will become a Kevin Mc Hale or Larry Bird!!!!!

I think he'll be a SF but will likely move to the 2G once Patrick gets to campus. Patrick will play the 3.

How tall is he? I've seen him listed anywhere from 6'4-6'6. If he gets to Iowa at 6'6/6'7 I think he's a perfect 3.

Talked to him and his mom in the QC's in Aug. Mom said he had recently been to the doctor and he was a legitimate 6'6. Said he was pretty much done growing.
