If Minnesota has any class they will find a way to keep coach Kill around in the athletic department in some capacity. He brought Minnesota football back to respectability and should be rewarded in some way for that.

Kill's contract specifies that he is hired as a Special Assistant to the AD for $250k per year.
My guess is that Kill stopped taking his meds because it was affecting his ability to coach, at least how he felt it was necessary to coach the team. But not taking his meds also affected his ability to coach. Tough situation for him, and for all involved. To play devil's advocate for a second...the one thing I don't like about what Kill did was that all of his assistants who have have followed him around from team to team now have their careers and lives up in the air as well. I'm sure they will get picked up elsewhere or stay on at Minnesota, but that's a lot of careers and a lot of families that are suddenly uprooted. I suppose you could say it was their decision to hitch their wagon to Kill's truck and you would be correct on that.
And before I get flamed, I'll remind everyone that Kill chose to stop taking his doctor prescribed medicine...which caused his problems to resurface.
So UM is paying him $250,000/yr cause he's a nice guy?? I like Jerry Kill as much as anyone, but if I were a MN taxpayer I would be royally ****** off at this.
U sure this is true?
