Jeremy Morgan commits to Northern Iowa

Interesting... A tad early imo. Must have a chance to play early. Athleticism in that conference goes a long way.

Yea I was very surprised by this considering how well he had been playing. Good luck to you Jeremy, see you in Des Moines!
 
Did not see this coming. Probably for the better though. I’d rather Jeremy be a Panther than a clone, and I couldn’t imagine Fran using our only scholarship on him.
 
He will go against the Hawks twice in his career instead of 4 times if he was a Clone.
Probably better for the family.
 
UNI is a damn good basketball program and McLeod has an outstanding atmosphere to play in. But it is a long ways from signing day and if Fran decides he wants Morgan I do not think it would take much to talk him into coming to Iowa.

Don't be silly. He had an offer. Chris Williams confirmed it. He and Morris play completely different positions, there is no reason to make an offer conditional based on the commitment of Morris.

Is there a meltdown on CF over this? Or is it more denying he had an offer over there? Either way I think ISU will get a good class, and it has started strong from them with the first 2 they nabbed.

Agree, I don't think ISU is gonna worry too much about the class they will put together. Hoiberg is doing very well on that front
 
i dont think ISU is too upset over losing this specific player, but it always hurts to lose a good player to perceived little brother...especially when little brother has gotten the better of you on the court for nearly a decade.

Im sure there will be a few that say "good, we didnt want him", but overall you never want to lose a recruit. We will be fine and I hold no ill will towards UNI. I want them to do well as I do Fran and Iowa. For some reason I have always loved the basketball in this state and have been a bit sick that the past decade has been terrible. There have been some shining moments, but overall not too exciting. Seems as though ISU, Iowa, and UNI are on the up and up and thats a good thing.
 
as a fan of a rival of icw this is potentially great news. i heard that he will not play football next season if he had already accepted a basketball scholarship. heard the same thing about Alexander. hope its true.

it may not matter though bc icw is going to be loaded to the gills with athletes. add to it the best freshman from city high (a really talented rb) was kicked out of school and is now going to be a sophomore at icw too. supposedly icw has a qb they are as high on as Rodgers.
