I believe Maryland fired coach Ralph Friedgen yesterday, so that might be a factor as well.

Unless I am missing something once you take Maryland out of the equation his only other offers are Iowa, Virginia, and New Mexico. I don't think NM presents much of a threat so they can pretty much be ruled out. Between us and Virginia, I think the biggest thing they bring to the table is proximity to home. Iowa is consistently a way better program than Virginia. Supposedly I have heard that Nico Law is out east trying to bring some of his east coast buddies with him. Hopefully this is one he can lock down for us.
