Jan. 1 Bowl games

Hope they still have some early morning game somewhere. My guess is the new Dallas Football Classic will be an early game, but not sure what channel now that ESPN/ESPN2 are out of the picture. Maybe the Big Ten Network??

As much as I didn't like the early start time for the Outback Bowl in the past, the staggered start times were nice, in terms of watching all of the Big Ten games.

This stinks. Now all three of these Jan 1 bowls are on at the same time?
WTF? Talk about cannibalizing your ratings....Big Ten fans like to watch Big Ten bowl games and now, on New Years day you get to watch one plus the Rose bowl...thats it? Who is in charge of this...even ESPN should understand how staggering the kickoffs of teams from the same conference will result in better ratings....man..idiotic.

I'm right there with you JH- maybe someone has this grand plan for why these bowl games should be overlapped, but just feels like we're competing against ourselves for ratings?

It's probably so they can squeeze in more bowl games. You can't have 30 games on the same day without starting them at the same time. The Freedom and Bluebonnet will now kick off at 4 AM
