Hadn't seen this mentioned on here yet. Not sure on the complete story but sounded like NCAA isn't allowing him at Iowa for some reason. Hopefully other teams don't try to nab him away while he goes to Iowa Western.

The way Kirk is hitting on the recruiting trail there might not be a scholly waiting for this guy. Better put up big numbers in the minors to expect to be called up next season.

Eh as thin as we are on the DL right now, I'd be surprised if we didn't welcome him back.

Not ideal, but he probably wouldn’t have been a contributor this year anyways. Have him put on some weight and actually play real opponents this year. There is a lot of talent on Iowa westerns schedule for him to hone skills. Over all (unless he ends us getting blue blood offers after a year) this won’t cost Iowa much.

Iowa will honor his scholarship if he decides to return, but he can go anywhere he chooses. It sounds like this was an NCAA decision not an Iowa decision so hopefully there is no hard feelings there.

Hopefully he will come back to Iowa, but either way this is at least one year away from Doyle which isn’t ideal.

The fact that he is going to IOWA Western tells me that he still wants to come here, otherwise he'd be enrolling at Upper Peninsula Tech. Hopefully he gets his academic ducks in a row and comes in as Hawkeye having fought off all the schools looking to entice him away.

I thought he had to graduate from JUCO since he didn't qualify originally.
