I think that signing early lowers your star rating. Kids that sign earlier don’t go to as many camps and their early commitment lowers the number of additional offers they receive.

From an Iowa standpoint, I love the new recruiting rules. I give the staff a lot of credit for identifying potential and doing so consistently. The early window seems to allow Iowa to get in early and sign kids before they get a slew of offers.
