Point understood, but honestly nobody should ever be suspended for smoking weed.Meh. Sounds like he’s got more growing up to do. Jacob Park’s college resume:
Georgia
Trident Technical Institute (no FB program)
Northeast Oklahoma A&M
Iowa State
? ____________
And he’s talking about loyalty?
He’s the starter and smokes weed and gets suspended the week of Oklahoma. How about loyalty to his team mates?
Comparing Lanning’s response to losing his job vs. Park’s response for losing his job because of his own selfish decision:
yeah, Jacob, everyone else is the problem. You’re just fine; it’s everybody else.

If that's a kite that I've ever flown, it can't be that high. But playing while high as a kite...
He appears to have a lot on his plate.

Oooh....burn!Sounds a bit like Todd Marinovich back in the day without any of the national hype.

I disagree with that.Point understood, but honestly nobody should ever be suspended for smoking weed.
I disagree with that.
Not because I think weed should be illegal, because I feel the same as you on that count, but because athletes should be held to a higher standard than the rest of the student population. Whether or not it's fair, their actions reflect on the team as a whole. Just look at how many Cyclone fans ripped on Snyder on social media, or ourselves for Brian Peavy's arrest. That stuff gets around very quicky.
Plus, the last time I checked, it's still illegal in Iowa. If you don't want to get in trouble, don't get caught.

Lotta weed been smoked in Larch Hall in ames
No wonder he played like crap. Not to mention, you have to be under the influence of something to wear your hair like that. The article states that he failed a drug test or tests. As a school teacher with a former student that's on the team, I can tell you with certainty that he was not suspended for failing a drug test (well, not directly). He was suspended for playing the Texas game stoned, which resulted in a QB Rating of 18.1. Period. He did fail multiple drug tests and they are using it as an excuse/reason, but not until he played high did he finally get the boot. They didn't know how long he was going to be out, because they didn't know how the backups would play. After the OU game, it was clear, he was done.
