Jack Tabb interview on Arkansas Radio Station

i listened to the whole thing. I never once got the impression that the kid seemed uncomfortable with any part of the interview.

I would have to say he sounded somewhat uncomfortable as in not really knowing what to say. Especially with the last segment. I thought it was immature of them to ask questions and put him on the spot and be giggling in the background as he gave his answers.

I remember a few years ago Nebraska radio had Blake Gabbert's little bro on the radio here in Omaha and was laughing my bum off because its like you clowns are worshipping him like and sayings he's Scott Frost part 2 (essentially) and I knew he was going to decommit and go to Missouri.
I had to tune it when that happened and they acted shocked.

I would agree. Sounded to me like he rolled with it well and appreciated the attention.

Plus, the fact that he's "suprising" his mother with his choice on Friday (his mom is a huge Razorback fan), and has family in Arkansas would lead me to believe that it'd be premature to welcome him here just yet.

This is what always gets me about SEC fans...

The radio hosts mentioned that the SEC has won the last X number of Championships...

So how many have Arkansas won? Even sniffed at the title game?

Who knows at this point.

Another thing to note is that North Carolina and Iowa have been at or near the top of his list for A LONG time. I think that counts for a lot.

Familial pull in Arkansas makes sense too.

Of course, didn't Jordan Reed have familial pull to Iowa too ... and he ended up at Florida?

This. It's always the Arkansas, Kentucky, South Carolina, etc. fans that brag about the 5 straight titles. The Florida, LSU, and Alabama fans just brag about their own.

From what I'm hearing, having his father in Arkansas, his mother being from Arkansas, and his family being life-long Arkansas fans will steer him there. That, and the fact that Arkansas lost 3 tight ends last year and Tabb saying that he wants to play tight end, makes me read between the lines and think he'll end up at Arkansas. Would have loved to see him here, though. I think he would have been a great TE, DE or DT. I'm still hoping, though!

Darn it ... that makes too much sense! Of course, it's strange that Arkansas wouldn't have been higher up on his list earlier.
