JaBo is a Balla

Anyone ragging on this kid for "not being a point guard" needs to shut it. He gives us the best chance to win--he is not a turnover machine--in general makes good decisions, and has a sweet stroke quick release. He will find a way to score as he gets older and stronger. Is Curry a PG--nope but they find a way to win right. Now I am not saying JaBo is Curry, but you can make some comparison in their games, I bet if you would ask JaBo he models his game after Curry. Anyway he is an upgrade from out lates 4 years of PGS. His D will impove--and he does has enough "lateral quickness" to be successful at the D1 level. He is not great yet, but the massive improvement he has made since becoming a starter shows he is only scratching his surface.

If you completely disregard stats than you can spin it that way. It'd be nice if we had another PG and he could come off the bench to be a spot up sniper so we could hide some of his deficiencies

Wouldn't it be JoBo? JaBo would be his oldest brother Jason.

He actually made two free throws down the stretch which MG couldn't seem to do against ISU . He also hit a really big three.

Other than that though I thought he had a pretty poor game last night, compared to others who stood out. Maybe PG is a little like QB, it only matters if you win.

Hey 56, here you are. I was worried about you, I mean not posting anything positive about the Hawks, and all after the win.....should have guessed you would be in a Jordan thread bashing complaining about him.

Look at what I posted and tell me what I did that was bashing him:

Bohannon is looking more and more capable. Once Connor gets here they can split the 1/2 guard duties and we can pray they'll play well enough to get us within reach of a BIG title.

Hey, 56. Look up the stats from the Iowa/ISU game where Bohannon was matched up with an all american senior point guard. Then, post them here for all to see, since you talked about the importance of numbers. To be clear, I agree. Stats matter. Thanks in advance for your post!

I just look at his mannerism, his demeanor, he knows can play at this level. Confidence will not be an issue with this kid. I will be the lone ranger in this you can make it work with him as the point guard. The game of basketball has evolved the idea that you need Jimmy Chitwood running the point is just silly.

2 guard doesn't bring the ball up the court against the press. J Bohannon is the best handler on the team. Can handle the ball against pressure. Until he starts turning it over in the back court, I'll say he's a great point guard.

JBo is so far ahead of where I expected him to be at this point. With that said, some of my concern is he does lack height and strength and I don't know how much more he'll devlop physically so I don't know how high his ceiling is but he's shown to me that he can already be a serviceable starting B1G PG.

I like him and Moss. Watching Moss taking it to the hoop and finishing after contact is a really good sign for him. When was the last time we saw a guard be able to do that? Needs to make the free throw however. I actually envision Moss at the point and Bo at the off guard after Joc is gone. We got some new guys coming in that might even bump them out, but that is a good problem to have.

Moss locked down Morris, I don't remember Bohannon on him much

All I know is that he plays with a ton of confidence and is not afraid to take the big shot. He will not crap his pants at crunch time like some of his predecessors. He will be a great Hawk for 3 more years!

And when you play like that, you will win some close games and you will lose some. You won't lose every single close game you play and make people think the coach somehow coaches bad in close games or something.

Did you watch the game? In fact, Fran and the media outlets complimented JB on the job he did on Morris. I do not deny that Moss was on him part of the time, but mainly it was point guard to point guard.
