IU Press Conference transcript

Just reading that makes me want to punch Glass in the face. What an a$$. Could have easily played game at Indy, but came up with some BS excuses that will now inconvenience us.

Nice job DB.

I can't help but wonder how much ESPN money the conference lost due to this. That is probably worth more than giving reimbursements to season ticket holders.

If I am Delany I am mad as heck at Indiana for not handling this, they had a venue and the opposing team willing to stay so the game could be played the next day.

The transcript also said that 'immense weight of snow and ice on the roof of the arena was causing it to bow and put pressure on pieces that weren't meant to be load bearing......'

Isn't that kind of a larger problem? Might want to get up there and scoop that stuff off.

FRED GLASS: Well, we have all of our
season ticket holders who would have to transfer
their seating arrangement here to Bankers Life
Fieldhouse. It's not all apples to apples. People
have scheduled their lives to some extent around
when the game is going to be, and it would be very
short notice that the game is turning around on a
couple day's notice.

It will be really inconvenient if they have to figure out where their new seats are in Carver and work out transportation. Maybe we can play Thursday night in Carver during the blizzard. This beat down is going to happen...no point in delaying the inevitable. Leave no doubt Fran!

Was it really that hard of a solution to just allow people in the Pacers arena that had a game ticket for Iowa/Indiana and let it be general admission seating?

Every fan that had a ticket was not going to make the trip to Indy to watch this game. I just thought of that solution in about 30 seconds. Surely Glass or some other numb nuts in the Indiana athletic department could have came up with the same thing or something a little better.
