35 Points against Indiana and Northwestern. There is no excuse. I don't want to hear about talent and how Iowa has a thin margin of error and victory. Give me a break.
We play way too conservative and we don't put pressure on the opposing offenses by putting points on the board. We keep teams like Northwestern in the game. The only game we came out aggressive in the last 4 weeks was MSU. I can't be this approach. NW was determined not to let us run. Well, we needed to throw every down until they changed up. Instead we wasted 5 offensive possessions because we wouldn't throw downfield. That was the game.
That was the worst game plan in the first half I have ever seen. If O'Keefe can't tell they have 8 and sometimes 9 in the box, then he shouldn't be coaching. Our advantage was with our WR's and and we tried to exploit it deep three times the entire game. Sinful.
It's time for O'Keefe to go.
