Nope, I'm good. Not happy with how the offense looked @MSU but have generally been saying that for years, so nothing new, really.
I don't invest a lot of emotional energy in Iowa sports anymore. If they're having a big year like two years ago (12-0, B10 title game) then sure, I definitely get pretty wrapped up in it, but have learned to let down/average years roll off me and just enjoy the wins, shrug my shoulders over losses. It seems like a healthier attitude and works better for me than going nuclear over every loss in a 7-5 season like I used to. It's not what I'd call apathy, just a more grounded attitude.
Doesn't mean I'm happy with mediocrity - I just try to relax about the outcome of every game.
Pisses my wife off less too, lol.
Great thoughts. I actually enjoyed going to the Illinois game on Sat because I realized I was watching a bunch of inconsistent young 'uns. I enjoyed the experience and they won. I agree with your "grounded attitude" comment. I just wish I could do it consistently.
