Out of bounds (2 pt by Okafor) & should have ball inbounds under WI basket in last minute.

Embarrasing for NCAA and its 3 blind mice tonite.

Oh well, Wisconsin lost, carry on Hawkeye fans.
 
Pretty well called game tonight. 15 to 13 fouls, couple missed calls both ways, pretty solid night for the Zebra's.

When did I say that? Just posted what the foul totals were. Duke was much more aggressive attacking the rim all night long, so it makes sense Wisconsin had more fouls.

Did you think it was a poorly officiated game?

Calls favored Duke throughout, refs made up the foul totals as usual... Dekker did have a bad game, air balling his 3s and can't make 2s... Hope he goes to the NBA so IA don't have to face him. Hayes and others will still keep WI competitive though.
 
Coach K lobbied the refs at halftime to even up the fouls.

They obliged.

Ryan won't be fined for his post-game comments, but I thought he was probably showing a little bit of a sore loser.
 
I think one of the announcers was right. Wisconsin left it all at the KY game and was gassed. Duke had an easier game in the previous round.

The poorly called game was MSU and Duke in the previous round. It 'appeared' NCAA didn't want two B1G teams in the finals.

So why post the foul totals, if you don't believe that fairly balanced fouls means the game was called fairly? Either you think it supports your point, or you don't. And it's not like fouls are the only calls that affect the game; the two biggest missed calls (both of which going in Duke's favor) didn't involve fouls.
 
There was a definitely two-sided way the refs called fouls against Wisky. Wisky played the same way both halves but had 2 fouls called in the first and 13 in the second, that would be a statistical anomaly in any other endeavor. And I think they just need to get rid of reply if they cant get it right. You could see Winslow's fingers bend brushing the ball that went OOBounds, even the 3 announcers were 100% sure Winslow touched it and the call would be reversed.

But really , Gasser and Decker didnt have the offensive games and that is why Wisky lost.
 
What is the point of having a replay if they are going to blow the calls on the biggest stage? Back to back games where they went to the monitor near the end of a close game and got the call wrong.

2 air balls in the NC game? Really???????? He couldn't hit water if he fell out of a boat last night. Total choke job. The bright lights effect people differently.
 
So I guess Wisconsin now knows what every other team in the Big 10 feels like when they are able to bully their way thru games and get the calls. They can dish it out but can't take it.

Forgive me if I don't shed a tear for them.
 
Refs swallowed their whistles in the last three minutes last night. Wisconsin tried to feed Frank down low, and the refs were not going to call the 5th on Okafor, so he got away with alot of contact. Two blatantly missed calls I believe led to 5 Duke points, and those were game changers. Wisky received no favors down the stretch last night.
 
Bo was trying to kind of hold back regarding ref's, but I could tell he was pizzed about the hand-checking, bumping.....he was going crazy, but, you have to play through those things....now, as far as the obvious blown calls, Winslow on the line and brushing that ball before it went out of bounds....those are inexcusable, and as far as I'm concerned, easy calls to make (those two example were worth 5 points for Duke)....Hey, they got 2nd, not bad, and a great season for them and the B1G
 
The refs stunk that is for sure, Okafor should have been long fouled out from this game but the refs were to chicken to call anything on him late in the game, such a sham the refs have to device National Championship games, but they did.
